Night time Conger eel fishing trips.

Northern Ireland has long been associated with Cod, Pollock, Rays and Turbot etc. One fish that is often ignored is the conger eel. With fish breaking double figures on most occasions - conger fishing is a thrill all the time.
At Portrush we are blessed with decent conger reefs within 30mins steam from the Harbour. These reefs have in the past given me fish to 39lb.
During the day congers hide in crevices, rocks, reefs and especially submerged wrecks.thats why i tailor my conger trips to run from 9pm to 1am in the morning. this is the time when the conger come out from the reef and go on the hunt for food.
Conger trips can be chartered for 4 hour long trips in the evening. Typically we catch half a box of mackerel for bait, then drop anchor over the reef and wait for the light to drop...
The Conger is a veracious eater, they feed on just about anything that moves on the sea bed, and they are renowned for their fighting power when hooked on rod and line. Beware the fearsome teeth and ferocious bite of the conger eel!
the choice is yours. Fancy it?

prices are £25.00 per head based on a boat of 6+ people, inclusive off rod hire and specialist tackle.
