A first for the Causeway Coast with another unique collaboration with Causeway Lass and Ocho Tapas in Portrush!  A must-do ‘catch and cook’ experience which can be enjoyed by groups of 6 plus.

Departing from Portrush Harbour, immerse your senses with an invigorating afternoon sea-fishing trip with Causeway Lass.  You don’t have to be a fishing expert to enjoy this – part of the fun is enjoying the thrill of your very first catch!  With the exception of waterproof clothing and suitable footwear, all fishing equipment and bait is provided along with tuition as to its use. Fishing novices are welcome and tuition of the all important fishing know-how is gladly given free of charge.

During the trip tea and coffee & locally produced treats will be available.  This is a novel way to engage with our stunning coastline and gain the opportunity to cook the fruits of your labour.

Acclaimed local chef Trudy Brolly will be waiting at the award-winning Ocho Tapas to guide you through making your own Paella (in groups of 2).  You can even use a selection of your own catch – can’t get fresher or more authentic than this!  A lesson in Sangria making and tasting is also provided as of course you will be thirsty after all your hard work.

This memorable experience ends with the group relaxing round the dinner table savouring their delicious dishes and reminiscing about the highlights of the day.  We don’t think there is a better taste of Portrush than this.

1.45pm                 Meet on North Pier, Portrush Harbour

2.00pm                Go fishing on the Causeway Lass

4.45pm                 Return from fishing and fillet catch

5.00 – 6.15pm    Learn how to cook Paella & Sangria at Ocho Tapas
