Rathlin Island and Puffins

We will leave Portrush harbour and travel along the Causeway coast, taking in the Skerries, Dunluce Castle, the Giant’s Causeway, White Park Bay, Ballintoy and Carrick-a-rede rope bridge.  We’ll then make the crossing to Rathlin Island where we’ll view the bird sanctuary and the west lighthouse.

Join Causeway Lass and Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust for a pleasant boat trip from Ballintoy Harbour via Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge to Rathlin Island’s West Lighthouse.

We will pass below Northern Ireland’s largest seabird colony and have great views of Puffins both on the water and around their burrows. The cliffs and stacks are also home to thousands of Guillemots, Razorbills and large numbers of Kittiwakes and Fulmars. If we are lucky we might catch a glimpse of Northern Ireland’s only breeding pair of Great Skua or some of the resident Peregrine Falcons or seals.

We will be running three trips :

10:00 – 12:30

13:30 – 16:00

17:00 – 19:30
